K Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC is a joint venture between Rick Kaplan & Casey Killam. For 20+ years Rick has been investing in real estate and in 2016 started a new venture with Casey Killam who he has been working with since 2012 when Casey joined RE/MAX Commercial.  Together they focus on acquiring key investment properties throughout the New England market and simplifying the process for investors looking to enter into the exciting world of real estate. Rick worked in commercial real estate for 6 years before launching his own company in 2006. In 2010, Kaplan Commercial Properties, Inc., merged with RE/MAX Executive Realty to form a Commercial Division.

Rick is a member of the United Chamber of Commerce and other networking groups. He’s also served on the Industrial Development Committee for the Town of Medway. Rick earned an accounting degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Management and launched his career at the firm of KPMG Peat Marwick.  Rick continued this real estate education by earning his CCIM designation in 2011. With a growing interest in real estate, he began to pursue opportunities in real estate investment, development, and brokerage. Today Rick owns several commercial and condominium properties.  

 

Casey has a wide variety of experience from overseeing and completing office renovations to flipping multi-families, mill conversions, property maintenance and in 2016 purchased 69 Milk Street, Westborough, together with Rick Kaplan as KCRES. Casey earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Real Estate and Economic Theory from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. 

His early career focused in the commercial and residential contracting and development field.  While interning in college, Casey worked for a private real estate investor where he was educated in many elements of real estate development from property acquisition and strategizing, to use planning and construction.
